Best pairings
- Puppet Master's Confusion turns enemies against each other, but she needs someone else's raw single-target damage to punish the chaos, and Yang's follow-up hits do that.
- Queen of Night's Defender Squad Lethality buff supports a garrison-anchor Infantry hero standing beside her Cavalry squad, like Long Fei.
- Discussed alongside Yang and Triton as the Gen 6 Cavalry/Archer/Infantry core at launch.
Sophia's story in brief
Countess Sophia arrives at night in a carriage painted a black that reflects no light, pale-skinned and red-haired with a scarlet rose pinned to her hat, and with an escort too small to have crossed rebel country. The backstory explains her. She pursued a pale young Count who warned her that marrying him carried a cost. The wedding was held at night by candlelight, his villa had no mirrors, and his friends were never seen by day. She married him anyway, and the choice could never be undone. The word vampire never appears.
Hours after her arrival, the refugee camp outside the town burns. It had been run by a cruel boss who worked with the rebels. A sentry touched by a rose on the wind stumbled, stood up and walked into the camp like a man under orders. Before sunrise Sophia walked out alone, holding the glowing rose, with red tears on her face. The story ends by quoting a novel about immortality, Four Hundred Years of Solitude, said to be inspired by one evening with her. Puppet Master, Eyes of Obedience and Queen of Night are the same woman in skill form.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sophia worth building?
A sidegrade unless you lean into her mechanic, her whole kit sows Confusion debuffs, which is fun and disruptive but doesn't out-damage a more direct offensive hero on its own.
What does Sophia's Terror effect do?
Terror – Deathblow marks a target to take 40-200% increased Cavalry damage every 2 turns, and Terror – Annihilation gives your squads bonus damage against Terrified targets, both are Expedition skills.
